Those who are looking for the Holy Grail in some artifact or “holy bloodline” will not succeed. They are looking in the wrong places. The Holy Grail is not of the world, but of the Spirit.
The sum of Jesus’ Message has absolutely nothing to do with religious membership, but that we live to personify God’s Spirit of Selfless Love, building our souls into temples (vessels) of His Good Spirit. Herein lies the transcendent truth of the Holy Grail that you will not learn from the upcoming DA VINCI CODE movie, and certainly not from the pulpits.
Your soul is the “grail” and you are ultimately responsible for making it holy or unholy, for “as you sow, so shall you reap.” The greatest war you will ever fight is in yourself. It is the war of spiritual duality, the “inner war” between Selfless Love (God) and selfishness (self). Only by sowing or personifying the Selfless Spirit instead of selfishness shall you reap or build God’s Spirit within, making your soul into a vessel of His Spirit, shown in Scriptures as the “cup of blessing.” This is the Holy Grail.
For centuries, scholars and warriors have failed to find the Grail, having failed to “see” that it is not a worldly thing, but spiritual. The Holy Grail is within, and shall be “found” and “possessed” by all devoted to The Way that Jesus personified… The Way of God’s Spirit of Selfless Love.
If you want to believe that the Holy Grail is a long-lost cup or the “holy bloodline” created by Mary Magdalene and Jesus… fine. Believing either way is of zero consequence in the end, because embracing mysteries does not bind your soul into Oneness with God. The Spirit knows no mystery. Living in the Spirit is The Way.
Look to the spiritual message of scriptures regarding the Holy Grail.
First Corinthians 10:16-18 (authored by Apostle Paul)
16. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?
[The “cup of blessing” is the vessel of God’s Spirit, referring to the Light of your soul… the Spirit of God within you. The “cup of blessing which we bless” is about you. You bless the “cup of blessing,” or honor the Selfless, Good Spirit within you by continued devotion to the Spirit, which is your communion with God’s power of redemption and salvation (‘blood of Christ’).]
17. The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
[The “bread” is the flesh, representing fleshly lusts… the selfish, worldly ways of the flesh. Your “breaking of the bread” is about overcoming (‘breaking’) your selfishness with the Selfless Spirit, which is your communion with God’s power of redemption and salvation (‘body of Christ’).]18. For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
[The Spirit of God is One. Those who are “one bread, and one body” and partakers of that “one bread” refer to those who are devoted to God’s One Spirit.]
